Media Walls in Felixstowe
Orwell Carpentry, a carpentry and building company based in Ipswich, covers media walls in Felixstowe and elsewhere in Suffolk, Essex and the surrounding areas. A media wall is a framed wall built out to hold the TV, cabling and storage. Orwell Carpentry builds them with local electrical subcontractors handling sockets and lighting.
What is a media wall?
It is a framed false wall that takes the TV, hides the wiring and adds storage. Orwell Carpentry builds media walls and cinema rooms, and can set the TV into the wall provided a sufficient ventilation gap is left kitchen fitter Stonham Aspal around it.
Most media walls need sockets moving and lighting adding, and for that Orwell Carpentry works closely with local electrical subcontractors. The layout is sketched on the visit and drawn up in CAD before anything is built.
How many doors should a carpenter hang a day?
There is no fixed number. It depends on whether the frames are sound, whether new linings are needed, whether the doors are fire doors, and how much ironmongery each one takes. The same factors, the number and type of doors and the access, are what move the price of fitting them.
Can a loft in Felixstowe be converted?
Orwell Carpentry converts lofts, with dormer and hip to gable conversions among them. Most lofts can be converted, but it depends on the height, the angle and the structure of the roof. The first meeting includes checking the loft space and the floor joists.
A standard loft conversion takes around 8 to 10 weeks on average, and more complex types such as hip to gable may take longer. Where needed, a structural engineer is part of the team, and the planning covers permits, approvals and building regulations.
